Damascus, Jan. 26 (SANA) The Syrian karate team of al-Nidal Sport Club has won 10 medals, including six gold, one silver, and three bronze medals, at the 7th International Legends Open Championship held recently in Jordan, with wide Arab participation.
In the junior category for girls and boys, the Syrian team won five gold medals, one silver medal, and two bronze medals.
Meanwhile, in the youth category, the team secured two gold medals and one bronze medal.
A total of 1,300 athletes from six countries – Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, Hungary, Romania, and Syria – participated in the championship.
