Syria’s Hind Zaza takes silver in table tennis at Islamic Solidarity Games

Syrian table tennis star Hind Zaza claimed the silver medal in the women’s singles event at the Islamic Solidarity Games in Saudi Arabia, marking another milestone in her rising career.

Zaza finished second after a thrilling final against Iran’s Neda Shahsavari, winning 4-2 in the fourth set. She reached the final following a hard-fought 4-3 semifinal victory over Turkey’s Sebal Altınkaya, showcasing her skill and resilience throughout the tournament.

Having gained international fame as the youngest athlete to compete at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, Zaza’s performance underscores Syria’s growing presence on the global sports stage and serves as an inspiration for young athletes across the Arab world.
