Liverpool beats Bournemouth 4-2 in Premier League opener

London, SANA- Liverpool, the English Premier League title holder, achieved a late victory at the beginning of its journey to defend the title, at the expense of its guest Bournemouth 4/2, on Friday evening, in the opening match of the new season.

Liverpool took the lead in the 37th minute through Ektiki, before Cody Gakpo added the second goal in the 49th minute.

But Bournemouth managed to equalize the score with two goals scored by its Ghanaian star Antoine Ciminho in the 64th and 77th minutes.

Italian substitute Chiesa, , succeeded in scoring the third goal in the 88th minute, before Egyptian star Mohamed Salah added the fourth goal in the fourth minute of stoppage time in the second half.

Liverpool will play its host Newcastle in the next round on Monday of next week, while Bournemouth will play at home against its guest Wolverhampton.
