Damascus, Sept. 6 (SANA) President Ahmad al-Sharaa on Sunday accepted the credentials of seven newly- appointed ambassadors to the Syrian Arab Republic during official ceremonies held at the People’s Palace in Damascus, in the presence of Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani.
President al-Sharaa received the credentials of Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Ghazi al-Enezi, Vatican Ambassador (Apostolic Nuncio) Archbishop Luigi Roberto Cona, and Ambassador of the European Union Michael Ohnmacht.
The President also received the credentials of Ambassador of the Federative Republic of Brazil Eduardo Barbosa, Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic Emmanuel Kakavelakis, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden Jessica Svärdström, and Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark Frej Jackson.
President al-Sharaa welcomed the new ambassadors, wishing them success in their diplomatic missions in a way that enhances relations with their countries they represent.
