Damascus, May 17 (SANA) President Ahmad al-Sharaa issued on Sunday Decree No. 107 of 2026 restructuring the National Import and Export Committee.
The decree stipulates the reformation of the committee previously established under Decree No. 263 of 2025, introducing an updated structure aimed at improving coordination of trade and economic policies.
Under the new structure, the committee will be chaired by the head of the General Authority for Borders and Customs. Members include the Minister of Economy and Industry, the Minister of Finance, the Minister of Health, and the Minister of Agriculture.
The committee also includes the Deputy Minister of Economy and Industry for Industrial Affairs, the Deputy Minister of Economy and Industry for Trade Affairs, the Deputy Minister of Finance, the Deputy Minister of Local Administration and Environment for Environmental Affairs, and the Director General of Customs.
