Damascus, SANA – President Ahmad al-Sharaa and his wife, Latifa al-Droubi, received at the People’s Palace in Damascus the Commander of the U.S. Central Command, Admiral Brad Cooper , and his Wife, Susan Cooper, together with the U.S. Special Envoy to Syria, Thomas Barrack, and the accompanying delegation.
Discussions centered on enhancing cooperation in the political and military fields, in a way that serves mutual interests and reinforces the foundations of security and stability in Syria and the wider region.
The talks reflected a positive atmosphere and highlighted a shared commitment to strengthening the strategic partnership and broadening channels of communication between Damascus and Washington at various levels.
The meeting was attended by a number of ministers and senior officials.
