Damascus, Oct. 1 (SANA) President Ahmad al-Sharaa received an official invitation from UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to attend the 2026 United Nations Water Conference, scheduled for Dec. 8–10 in Abu Dhabi.
UAE Ambassador to Syria Hamad Rashid bin Alwan al-Habsi delivered the invitation on Wednesday during a meeting with Mohammad Taha al-Ahmad, adviser for Arab affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, at the ministry’s headquarters in Damascus.
The two sides discussed ways to strengthen and develop bilateral cooperation across various fields.
