Beirut, Aug. 5 (SANA) A joint delegation from Syria’s Ministries of Interior and Foreign Affairs held talks in Beirut on Wednesday with Lebanese Interior Minister Ahmad al-Hajjar and senior Lebanese officers to discuss key issues of mutual interest and ways to boost security cooperation between the two countries.
The Syrian Interior Ministry said on its Telegram channel that the visit comes at the invitation of the Lebanese interior minister.
The Syrian Interior Ministry delegation was headed by Brigadier General Mulham al-Shantout, deputy Interior minister for security affairs. It also included Syria’s Chargé d’Affaires in Beirut Iyad al-Hazzaa and Director of International Cooperation at the ministry Colonel Abdul Rahim Jbara.
