Amman, May 17 (SANA) Jordan’s King Abdullah II emphasized the importance of intensifying international efforts to ensure the sustainability of the ceasefire between the United States and Iran, stressing that any agreement to end the war must guarantee the security of Arab states.

According to the Jordan News Agency Petra on Sunday, the remarks came during the King’s meeting with Australian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Richard Marles, where they discussed the latest regional developments, as well as bilateral relations and ways to strengthen cooperation across various fields, particularly in the military and security sectors.

King Abdullah II also reiterated the need to maintain regional de-escalation and to respect the sovereignty and security of Arab states.
