Paris, May 11 (SANA) A delegation from the Ministry of Interior participated in the First Global Conference on Police Communication organized by Interpol, held in the French city of Lyon.
The ministry said in a statement on Monday that the delegation was headed by the Head of International Cooperation Directorate and included the Head of the Media Directorate and the Director of the Interpol branch.
The participation aims to strengthen frameworks of international cooperation and develop proactive security communication systems, with a focus on exchanging expertise in combating transnational organized crime, crisis management, and communication with local and international media in a way that supports security messaging and reinforces transparency principles.
A delegation had also participated on Sunday in a scientific seminar held in the Spanish capital, Madrid, titled “Risk Assessment and Crisis Management in Correctional Institutions,” with the participation of experts and specialists in prison administration, rehabilitation, and institutional security.
The Syrian activities come as part of the Ministry of Interior’s efforts to enhance the capabilities of its personnel, strengthen scientific and institutional cooperation, and exchange expertise to advance security and correctional systems.
