Riyadh ,Apr. 1 (SANA) The Council of Arab Interior Ministers condemned on Wednesday the heinous Iranian attacks on several Arab countries during a virtual meeting that included Syria.
The Council of Arab Interior Ministers reiterated, in a final statement, its full solidarity with the affected states and their legitimate right to self-defense.
The Council also criticized the Israeli law authorizing the execution of Palestinian detainees, describing it as a war crime and a blatant violation of international conventions.
The statement noted that the Council’s resolutions included the adoption of the second phase of the updated Arab strategy to combat terrorism, as well as approval to convene specialized meetings on parallel financial investigations related to corruption crimes and on strengthening cooperation with relevant Arab and international bodies.
The Council reaffirmed its support for Lebanon’s security, stability, and territorial integrity, and its rejection of Israel’s illegal occupation of Arab territories seized in 1967, along with its expansionist and aggressive policies in the region and its attacks on Iraq, Lebanon, and Syria.
Syria’s Interior Minister Anas Khattab led Syria’s delegation.
