Berlin, March 30 (SANA) President Ahmad al-Sharaa met German Chancellor Friedrich Merz at the Federal Chancellery in Berlin on Monday, where they discussed support for economic stability and reconstruction efforts in Syria.
The two sides reviewed bilateral relations and ways to expand cooperation across multiple sectors, alongside the latest regional and international developments.
Talks also focused on strengthening economic ties, supporting economic stability in Syria, and advancing reconstruction and the energy sector. Humanitarian issues related to Syrian refugees in Germany were also discussed.
President al-Sharaa arrived in Berlin on Sunday, leading a high-level ministerial delegation on his first official visit to Germany.
