Erdoğan, al-Burhan discuss developments in Sudan, bilateral ties
President of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and De facto leader of Sudan Abdel Fattah al-Burhan - Anadolu

Ankara, March 11 (SANA) – President of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan discussed developments in Sudan and ways to strengthen bilateral relations during a phone call Tuesday with the Chairman of the Transitional Military Council in Sudan Abdel Fattah al-Burhan.

According to Anadolu Agency, Türkiye’s Presidential Communications Directorate said Erdoğan stressed Ankara’s strong commitment to Sudan’s territorial integrity and political unity, noting that Türkiye is closely following efforts aimed at restoring security and stability in the country.

The Turkish president also reaffirmed Türkiye’s continued support for Sudan and its readiness to provide humanitarian assistance to the Sudanese people under the current circumstances.

Sudan has been experiencing armed clashes since April 2023 between the Sudanese army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF), leading to a worsening humanitarian crisis and large-scale displacement, amid international warnings about the conflict’s impact on regional stability.
