Damascus, March 3 (SANA) Syria’s Foreign Ministry offered condolences to Kuwait after two Kuwaiti soldiers were killed while carrying out their duties, as regional tensions escalate following recent military exchanges involving Iran, the United States and Israel.
In a statement issued in Damascus late Monday, the ministry expressed “sincere condolences and sympathy” to Kuwait’s government and people over “the martyrdom of the soldiers”. It also wished a speedy recovery to those injured and expressed Syria’s “full solidarity” with Kuwait.
Iran has launched missile and drone attacks targeting several Arab countries, including Kuwait, causing casualties and damage to infrastructure. The attacks came amid heightened tensions after U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iranian targets.
