Amman, Feb. 26 (SANA) Jordan’s King Abdullah II reiterated the need to support Syria and Lebanon in preserving their sovereignty, security, and stability.
The Petra news agency reported that King Abdullah held talks on Wednesday in Amman with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, during which they discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in support of shared interests and regional stability.
The King stressed the importance of dialogue and diplomatic channels to de-escalate tensions, underscoring the need to back Syria’s and Lebanon’s efforts to safeguard their security and sovereignty.
On developments in the Palestinian territories, King Abdullah reiterated Jordan’s rejection of Israeli escalatory measures aimed at expanding settlement activity and seizing land in the West Bank, warning against continued violations targeting Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.
President Subianto reaffirmed Indonesia’s commitment to achieving lasting peace based on the two-state solution, describing it as the only path to regional stability and voicing support for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.
