Munich, Feb. 13 (SANA) Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani arrived in Munich on Friday to participate in the 62nd session of the Munich Security Conference (MSC) .
On Thursday, Minister al-Shaibani inaugurated the Syrian consulate in Bonn, Germany, in a ceremony attended by German government officials and several ambassadors. During the ceremony, he highlighted the strong Syrian-German relations and Germany’s humanitarian role in hosting hundreds of thousands of Syrian refugees.
The 62nd Munich Security Conference, held from February 13 to 15, brings together hundreds of decision-makers and opinion leaders worldwide to discuss pressing international security challenges.
Nearly 50 heads of state and government are expected to attend, including leaders from most European countries. Key topics will include European security and defense, the future of the transatlantic relationship, revitalizing multilateralism, regional conflicts, and the security implications of technological advances.
