Riyadh, Feb. 2 (SANA) Syria is participating in the fifth edition of the Saudi Media Forum 2026, which opened on Monday in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, under the theme “Media in a Shaping World.”
The Syrian delegation, headed by Minister of Information Hamza al-Mustafa, is taking part alongside media leaders and industry figures from around the world in discussions on challenges facing the media sector, its transformations, and its role in shaping public influence and future trends.
According to organizers, the forum (from Feb. 2 to Feb. 4) is addressing issues including media business models in the age of artificial intelligence, serving as an international platform for decision-makers and experts to exchange views on the current state of the profession and its future prospects.
During the forum, Saudi Minister of Media Salman al-Dossary announced the launch of a set of principles for artificial intelligence in media, in partnership with the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA). The initiative aims to promote the responsible use of modern technologies and support the development and empowerment of the media sector.
