Damascus, Jan. 29 (SANA) French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot said on Thursday that France will continue its efforts to support stability in Syria and strengthen regional security.
Speaking ahead of a European Union meeting in Brussels, Barrot said Paris remains committed to maintaining regional security and backing international efforts to combat terrorism.
“Any attempt by ISIS to return to Syria must be prevented,” he said in remarks broadcast by Al Jazeera Mubasher.
Barrot also expressed France’s support for the ceasefire agreement and the integration of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) into Syrian state institutions, stressing the importance of continuing negotiations in this framework to achieve positive outcomes.
