Ankara, Dec 31 (SANA) Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan affirmed his country’s belief that Syria’s stability, political unity, and territorial integrity are fundamental to strengthening regional security and contributing positively to its surrounding region and the world.
In a recorded New Year’s address, broadcast by Turkish channel TRT on Wednesday, Erdogan stated that a strong Syria, achieving political unity and preserving its territorial integrity, will make significant contributions to its region and the world.
“Establishing stability in Syria directly contributes to an increase in voluntary returns,” the Turkish president added, noting that more than 600,000 Syrians have returned to their homeland since the Syrian revolution’s victory on December 8, 2014.
On the 9th of this month, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan reiterated that Turkey and its people will continue to strongly support Syria and its people in their efforts to rebuild their homeland.
