Ankara, Dec. 15 (SANA) Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan called a stable Syria, free from foreign interference, a significant gain for the entire region. He reaffirmed that Turkey would continue to support the Syrian people in their efforts towards stability and reconstruction.
Speaking at the 16th Ambassadors Conference in Ankara, Fidan highlighted Turkey’s firm position on Syria over the past 14 years. He said Turkey has faced some of the toughest political and economic challenges during this time, paying a heavy price for its stance, but has never wavered in its humanitarian commitment.
Fidan noted that while other nations aligned themselves with terrorist groups, Turkey stayed true to its principles.
He described December 8 as a “turning point,” signaling the start of a new phase of hope for Syria. “The real work in Syria begins now,” he added.
Two days earlier, Fidan emphasized that Turkey is collaborating with regional and international partners to help establish an independent Syria free from terrorism.
