President Ahmad al-Sharaa on Thursday congratulated the Syrian people on the first anniversary of the launch of the “Battle of Deterrence of Aggression,” which toppled the former regime, and called for nationwide mass celebrations.
In a televised message, the President said: “Great Syrian people, I congratulate you today on the anniversary of the beginning of the Battle to Liberate all of Syria the Battle of Deterrence of Aggression which later toppled the former criminal regime.”
The president added: “On this great occasion, I call upon all segments of the Syrian people of every group and component to take to the squares and public spaces to express their joy over this great battle, and to demonstrate national cohesion, national unity, and the safety and unity of Syrian soil and territory.”
President al-Sharaa concluded by saying: “Long live Syria free and dignified, from its north to its south and from its east to its west united, strong, great, and prosperous.”
