The State of Qatar strongly condemned on Thursday the entry of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and several ministers from his government into southern Syria, calling it a “blatant violation of international law and an infringement on Syrian sovereignty.”
In a statement, the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that this move violates the 1974 Disengagement Agreement and urged the international community to take immediate action to compel Israel to adhere to international law and stop its ongoing attacks on Syrian territory. Qatar warned that such actions risk further escalating tensions in the region.
Qatar reiterated its unwavering support for Syria’s sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity, expressing solidarity with the Syrian people’s aspirations for security and stability.
