Lebanese President Joseph Aoun on Thursday condemned the Israeli airstrikes targeting towns in southern Lebanon and called on the international community to take a clear stance to end Israeli violations.
In a statement, Aoun denounced the latest attacks as “part of a systematic policy aimed at destroying productive structures and hindering economic recovery under false security pretexts.”
He described the strikes as “an escalatory act” that represents a serious violation of UN Security Council Resolution 1701 and the 2024 ceasefire agreement.
The president emphasized that Israel continues to breach its international obligations and to use force outside any legitimate framework or international mandate.
