The United Arab Emirates welcomed the adoption of the roadmap announced by the Syrian government to resolve the crisis in Sweida Governorate, reaffirming its support for all steps taken by Syria to achieve its security, stability, and sovereignty over its entire territory.
The Emirates News Agency “WAM” reported that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated in a statement Wednesday its commitment to standing by the brotherly Syrian people and supporting all efforts aimed at fulfilling their aspirations for security, peace, a dignified life, peaceful coexistence, and development.
The ministry stressed in its statement the importance of consolidating calm to safeguard Syria and its unity, to prevent further bloodshed, ensure the protection of civilians, and uphold the sovereignty of the state and the rule of law. It also praised the positive role of Jordan and the United States in promoting security and peace in the region.
