Ankara, SANA-Syrian Arab Army Air Force Commander Brig. Gen. Assem Hawari met in Ankara with Turkish Chief of General Staff Lt. Gen. Selçuk Bayraktaroğlu and Turkish Air Force Commander Lt. Gen. Ziya Cemal Kadıoğlu, following an official invitation.
According to the Syrian Ministry of Defense channel on Telegram, the talks covered a number of shared files and issues of mutual interest.
It is worth noting that Lt. Gen. Selcuk Bayraktaroğlu was appointed last month as Turkey’s Chief of General Staff, succeeding Gen. Metin Gürak, who retired after the legal service age.
