Cairo, SANA – Jordan and the UAE reiterated their support for Syria’s unity and stability and their rejection of any foreign interference in its affairs, emphasizing that its stability represents a strategic Arab and international imperative.
During the opening session of the Arab League Council at the ministerial level in Cairo on Thursday, Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi affirmed his country’s support for Syria in confronting partition plans and preserving its unity, security, and stability.
Safadi articulated that Jordan supports reconstruction and rebuilding efforts in Syria, in a way that preserves its security, sovereignty, and the safety of its citizens.
Furthermore, he noted that addressing the situation in southern Syria must be done in cooperation and coordination with the Syrian government, in a manner that preserves the country’s unity and the rule of law.
The Jordanian Foreign Minister also warned of the repercussions of Israeli attacks, affirming Jordan’s support for Syria in confronting all attempts to undermine its unity and guarantee equal rights for all its citizens.
For his part, UAE Minister of State Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar emphasized the importance of security, peace, and stability in Syria, reaffirming his country’s commitment to supporting all efforts aimed at achieving the Syrian people’s aspirations for security and development, within the framework of the unity and sovereignty of the Syrian state.
