Brussels, SANA- The Chargé d’Affaires of the European Union Delegation to Syria, Michael Ohnmacht, emphasized the importance of continuing dialogue and constructive cooperation with Syria and strengthening communication at this critical stage in the region that serves the interests of all partners.
Ohnmacht’s statement came in a tweet posted today on the “X” platform, following his meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Asaad Al-Shaibani, along with the heads of the EU missions in Damascus.
He said: “I was pleased to meet with Minister Al-Shaibani. We discussed in depth the most prominent developments in Syria and the region, and emphasized the importance of continuing dialogue and constructive cooperation for the benefit of Syrians and all partners.”
Minister Al-Shaibani received the ambassadors of the European Union countries in Damascus yesterday, reflecting Syrian government’s ongoing efforts to promote dialogue and openness, and to affirm its commitment to international cooperation.
