Beirut, SANA -Lebanese President Joseph Aoun reiterated his country’s full support for Syria’s unity and territorial integrity.
The Lebanese president comment came during his meeting with a US delegation Tuesday in Beirut, which included U.S. Representative Joe Wilson, U.S. Senators Lindsey Graham and Jeanne Shaheen as well as US special envoy for Syria Tom Barrack.
The Lebanese presidency said on the “X” platform that Aoun welcomed Syria’s willingness to establish better relations with Lebanon, stressing that this is a mutual desire and will between the two countries.
Aoun reiterated his country’s readiness to address outstanding bilateral issues in a spirit of brotherhood, cooperation, and based on the historical relations between Syrian and Lebanese peoples.
