Syria strongly condemns recent Israeli attacks on its territory

Damascus, SANA-The Syrian Arab Republic on Tuesday condemned , in the strongest terms, the recent Israeli attacks on Tranja village in the northern countryside of Quneitra Province.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said in a statement that the Syrian Arab Republic   strongly condemns the Israeli attacks on its territory, which claimed the life of one person as his home was bombed in Tranja village of Quneitra countryside.

Syria also condemns the Israeli occupation forces’ infiltration and arrest campaigns against civilians in the town of Suwaysa in the Quneitra countryside, and their announcement of the continuation of their illegal presence on the peak of Mount Hermon and the buffer zone, the statement added.

Those aggressive practices constitute a flagrant violation of the United Nations Charter, international law, and relevant Security Council resolutions that pose a direct threat to peace and security in the region, the statement affirmed.

The Foreign Ministry reiterated its call on the international community, particularly the Security Council, to take urgent action and put an end to those ongoing violations.

The Foreign Ministry said that the Syrian Arab Republic stresses its legitimate right to defend its land and people by all means guaranteed by international law.
