U.S. Representative calls for full repeal of Caesar Act Sanctions on Syria

Washington, SANA- U.S. Representative Joe Wilson has called for the complete repeal of the Caesar Act sanctions imposed on Syria, describing it as a priority for the administration of former President Donald Trump.

In a post shared Monday on the platform X, Wilson stated: “I was honored to meet President Ahmad al-Sharaa as part of a bipartisan delegation alongside senior Senator Jeanne Shaheen and U.S. Special Envoy to Syria Thomas Barrack, to discuss a bright, unified, and stable future for Syria.”

He added: “This visit held special meaning for me, and I’m deeply grateful for the warm reception. The time has come to fully repeal the Caesar Act. As a priority of President Trump’s administration, I remain committed to this vital bipartisan goal.
