Occupied Jerusalem, Aug. 22 (SANA) The death toll from the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, has risen to 73,419, with 174,364 others injured, the Palestinian Health Ministry said.
The ministry said in a statement on Telegram Saturday that Gaza hospitals received two bodies and four injured people over the past 48 hours.
It added that since the ceasefire took effect on October 10 last year, 1,285 Palestinians have been killed and 4,252 others injured.
A number of victims remain under the rubble and on roads, as ambulance and civil defense crews are still unable to reach them, the ministry said.
Three Palestinians, including a child, were killed Friday by Israeli occupation forces in Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
The Israeli war on Gaza has caused a humanitarian catastrophe, with widespread destruction of homes and infrastructure and the collapse of essential services. The situation has worsened as the occupation continues to prevent the entry of relief and reconstruction materials despite the ceasefire agreement stipulating their unrestricted entry.
