Civil Defense continues efforts to extinguish fires in Lattakia Provinces

Lattakia, SANA – Syrian Civil Defense teams continue their intensive efforts to extinguish the massive wildfires raging in the Lattakia countryside for the third consecutive day, while continuing to send reinforcements to the

region to limit the spread of fires and the explosion of war remnants.Civil Defense continues efforts to extinguish fires in Lattakia Provinces

The Civil Defense reported that one of its volunteers suffered from suffocation, and a service vehicle belonging to the teams caught fire while attempting to reach the fires.

Syrian Arab Red Crescent teams, in cooperation with Civil Defense teams, also continue their relief efforts for affected families in several towns in the Latakia countryside.

Turkish firefighting teams also participated in the firefighting operation in coordination with the Ministry of Emergencies and Disaster Management.

The Turkish teams include two helicopters and 11 vehicles (8 fire engines and 3 water supply trucks).
