Tourism Ministry explains mechanism for licensing tourism offices in Syria

Damascus, SANA – Director of Damascus Tourism department, Majed Ezzedine, explained that licensing any tourism and travel office requires submitting an application to the relevant tourism directorate.
Ezzedine explained in a statement to a SANA correspondent that licensing a tourism office is done through a two-stage inspection process: the first concerns the required documents, and the second involves the bank guarantee and the founding budget.
The Ministry of Tourism is working to facilitate all procedures to support investment in the tourism sector in Syria, which faces significant challenges due to the policies of the former regime, which impacted the sector’s infrastructure.
