Syrian Civil Aviation forms a crisis cell to manage operations at Aleppo International Airport

Damascus, SANA-The Syrian Civil Aviation Authority announced Saturday the formation of a crisis cell to manage operations at Aleppo International Airport, in light of the temporary transfer of flights from Damascus International Airport to Aleppo Airport, with the aim of ensuring the highest levels of preparedness and organization in dealing with developments.

The Syrian Airlines was also asked to form a parallel crisis cell to address the errors and challenges that had emerged in recent days as a result of the sudden shift in air operations, The Authority clarified in a press release on its Telegram channel.

Furthermore it noted that the call center will also be strengthened with a number of new specialized employees, to ensure a quick and accurate response to inquiries from travelers and citizens, and to provide the necessary support regarding appointments, reservations, and operational details, stressing its full commitment to ensuring the continuity of air traffic in all safety and efficiency.

Syrian Airlines announced the diversion of its flights from Damascus Airport to Aleppo Airport due to the continued closure of airspace and air corridors leading to Damascus Airport due to the ongoing military escalation in the region.
