Tourism Ministry Prepares to Launch Investment Opportunities

Damascus, SANA-In parallel with the amendment to Investment Law No.18 of 2021, the Ministry of Tourism is preparing to launch a number of investment opportunities for investors, within the framework of granting additional benefits and qualitative facilities for those seeking to invest in Syria.

The Assistant Minister of Tourism for Development and Investment Affairs, Engineer Ghayath Al-Farrah, said that the ministry is working on two parts, the first focuses on stimulating investment and offering advantages to investors, and the second is activating the electronic platform for tourist arrivals to Syria, and facilitating procedures at airports and border crossings.

Engineer al-Farrah further noted that the availability of tourism facilities – spanning good, medium, and high-tier categories – along with secured services, will contribute to increasing visitor numbers to Syria.
