Residents of Beit Jinn town protest to demand release of citizens arrested by Israeli occupation

Damascus Countryside, SANA-Dozens of residents of Beit Jinn town in the western Damascus Countryside, held a demonstration on Friday to demand the release of seven citizens arrested by the Israeli occupation during its incursion into the town yesterday.

A SANA reporter stated that the demonstrators headed to the Nabaa al-Fawar area to protest in front of the UN center, reiterating their demand for the immediate release of the detainees.

Earlier, Israeli occupation forces stormed Beit Jinn the day before, killing a young man and arresting other residents.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said in a statement on Thursday: “This escalation represents a clear violation of international law and relevant Security Council resolutions, including the 1974 Disengagement Agreement,” stressing that these provocative actions hinder efforts to achieve stability and reconstruction.
