Information Minister explores media strategy and challenges with Sweida's media delegation

Damascus, SANA-During a meeting with a delegation from the Media Directorate in Sweida province, Minister of Information, Dr. Hamza al-Mustafa,emphasized the importance of developing media discourse to reflect the spirit of national identity that has historically distinguished the province. He highlighted the need to showcase its people’s commitment to unity and stability.

Minister al-Mustafa discussed the state of media work in Sweida, stressing the need for the media to be a platform that conveys the voices of the province’s residents in all their diversity and reflects their commitment to inclusive national solutions.

He further underscored the importance of accurately portraying Sweida as an integral and active part of the Syrian social fabric, while countering misleading narratives that distort the province’s history and its patriotic stance.

The meeting also addressed the challenges facing media work in the province, with a focus on providing the appropriate conditions that enable media professionals to perform their duties effectively and reflect the province’s identity in a responsible spirit consistent with its national affiliation.
