A Czech delegation inspects Douma, Shebaa water stations work, Damascus countryside

A Czech delegation inspects Douma, Shebaa water stations work, Damascus countryside

‏Damascus countryside, SANA- Director of Damascus Water Corporation Eng. Ahmed Darwish, Director of Middle East and North Africa Department at Czech Foreign Affairs Ministry, Petr Hladík, along with the accompanying delegation inspected the work of water stations in Douma and Shebaa cities, Damascus Countryside.

‏In a statement to journalists, Eng. Ahmed Darwish noted to a coordination with the Czech delegation to establish water purification projects in other areas suffering from a shortage of drinking water.

He added “the Czech delegation will train workers and maintenance staff in the stations to solve operational problems and repair emergency malfunctions.

In turn, Director of Middle East Department of Czech Foreign Affairs Ministry, Petr Hladík said the aim of this visit is to ensure the readiness of drinking water purification stations that have been previously implemented in the abovementioned areas, and funded by humanitarian aid program provided by Czech Republic to the Syrians..‏

Hladík stressed the Ministry’s keenness to extend the humanitarian aid project in Syria for the next three years, and which will include implementation of new projects in Yalda and New Adra city, Damascus countryside.
