Temperature to drop, rain showers expected

Damascus, SANA-Temperatures tend to drop slightly while remaining higher than their average for this time of year by about 2 to 5 degrees as the country being affected by a weak extension of a surface low accompanied by a low in the upper atmosphere.

Meteorology Department expected in its Friday bulletin that’ ’the weather will be between clear and partly cloudy in general, turning to cloudy in the western, coastal, southern and Qalamoun regions, and the opportunity will be ripe for showers of rain in those areas, accompanied by thunderstorms in the coastal areas.”.

The weather will remain cold at night, and frost is warned of in mountainous areas and some inland areas, and fog will form in some inland areas in the early morning hours, and northwesterly winds will be light to moderate, and the sea will be light in wave height.

Tomorrow, temperatures will tend to rise slightly to become higher than their average by about 4 to 6 degrees and the weather will be between clear and partly cloudy in general.
