35 scientific projects completed at Faculty of Agricultural Engineering, Damascus University

35 scientific projects completed at Faculty of Agricultural Engineering, Damascus University

Damascus, SANA- The Center for Biological Control Research and Studies at Faculty of Agricultural Engineering at Damascus University has carried out more than 35 scientific projects in the center’s medicinal and aromatic garden during the past academic year 2023-2024, according to the center’s director, Dr. Ghassan Ibrahim.

“The center’s medicinal and aromatic garden provides scientific, practical and research services to the students of the college and the Agricultural Technical Institute.” Dr. Ibrahim said in a statement to SANA reporter pointing out that the completed scientific projects included (independent research, doctorate, master’s, graduation projects).

He clarified that the college and institute students come to the center’s garden for practical training and to learn about the plant species and cultivated crops, in order to apply scientific experiments on them.

He added that new species were planted in the garden, including the medicinal hibiscus plant for two consecutive seasons “2024-2025”, and its cultivation was very successful.
