Bread’s unified price set to stop corruption: Flour consumption declined by approximately 800 tons per day

Damascus-SANA- The Minister of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in the caretaker government, Maher Khalil al-Hassan, stated that the consumption of flour needed for bread production in Syria decreased by 765 tons per day, with production decreasing by 20 percent after the initial control of corruption and the adoption of a unified pricing.

“Syria has great human resources and diverse wealth, but the ousted regime destroyed those capabilities and deprived the Syrian people of the country’s wealth, minister al-Hassan said in a statement published by the ministry on its Telegram channel.

Syria is a rich country that is sufficient for all its population. We are doing our utmost in cooperation with our people to prevent corruption, rise and rebuild our country again, al-Hassan added.
