Israeli forces shell Tal al-Ahmar al-Sharqi in Southern Quneitra

Quneitra, Dec. 26 (SANA) Israeli forces shelled Tal al-Ahmar al-Sharqi area in southern Quneitra on Friday morning with shells and machine-gun fire, according to local sources.

The attack involved three shells fired from positions in Tal al-Ahmar al-Gharbi and was accompanied by medium-caliber gunfire. No civilian casualties were reported, SANA’s reporter in Quneitra said.

The attack comes amid ongoing Israeli violations in the Quneitra countryside. On Thursday, troops fired at civilians near the village of al-Asha while they were collecting mushrooms. Two days earlier, children and women gathering mushrooms between the villages of al-Adnaniya and Rouyhina in northern Quneitra were targeted with smoke grenades.

Syria condemns the attacks as violations of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement and demands the withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from southern Syrian territory.
