UN Fact-Finding Mission visits Quneitra to document Israeli violations

Quneitra, Dec 13 (SANA) A United Nations fact‑finding committee visited Syria’s Quneitra province on Saturday as part of its mandate to document violations by Israeli forces against civilians and their property in the area.

During the visit, committee members held meetings with residents who reported being affected by recent incidents, gathering testimonies and on‑the‑ground information that will be compiled into formal reports for submission to relevant UN bodies.

Hassan al‑Hamad, one of the civilians who met with the delegation, said he had been invited to provide testimony regarding alleged violations in his hometown by the Israeli forces. He confirmed that the committee recorded his statements as part of its official documentation process.

Israel continues its aggressive policies and violates the 1974 Disengagement Agreement by incursions into the rural areas of Quneitra and Daraa by targeting civilians and their property.

Syria continuously renews its demand for the implementation of UN resolutions and an end to the Israeli occupation of Syrian territory, calling on the international community to assume its responsibilities in deterring these illegal practices.
