Quneitra, Dec 10 (SANA) Israeli forces carried out on Wednesday an incursion into the Saida al‑Hanout village in southern Quneitra and detained a resident from the nearby village of Ayn al‑Qadi.
“An Israeli unit consisting of three military vehicles advanced into the area west of Saida al‑Hanout,” SANA’s reporter said, adding that the forces also arrested a civilian from Ayn al‑Qadi while he was present in the neighboring village of al‑Mashida.
The incident follows a similar incursion on Tuesday between Ayn Aisha and Khan Arnabeh in northern Quneitra, during which Israeli forces opened fire and launched smoke grenades at civilians that injured three. Later, residents held a protest condemning the attack.
Israel continues its incursions into rural areas of Quneitra and Daraa, in violation of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement, while Syria reiterates its demand for an end to the Israeli occupation of Syrian territory and calls on the international community to move against such practices.
