Damascus, Dec. 4 (SANA) Two customs members were martyred, and two others injured, when a transit truck escort patrol came under fire from unidentified assailants on the Aleppo–Damascus highway in the al-Zirbah area of southern Aleppo countryside.
Mazen Alloush, Director of Relations at the General Authority of Ports and Customs, stated in a post on “X” that one of the customs patrols assigned to escort a transit truck was ambushed in al-Zirbah, southern Aleppo countryside, by an unidentified group travelling in a vehicle carrying armed men.

He explained that the attack resulted in the martyrdom of two customs members and left two others wounded with varying injuries.
Alloush noted that the competent authorities have launched investigations and are tracking down the perpetrators to bring them to justice.
