The 26th session of the Transport and Logistics Committee of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) began in Damascus on Tuesday, marking the first such meeting in 15 years.

The event brings together senior officials, experts, and representatives from transport ministries across the Arab world, alongside delegates from regional and international organizations.

The two-day meeting will focus on key issues shaping the future of the transport sector. Topics on the agenda include regional connectivity, the digital transformation of supply chains, and strengthening the resilience of logistics systems amid economic challenges and the growing threat of climate change.
