Israeli forces penetrate Syrian territory, entering Bir Ajam village in Quneitra

Israeli forces carried out Wednesday a new incursion toward the village of Bir Ajam in the Quneitra countryside.

SANA reported that five Israeli military vehicles entered the village of Bir Ajam, where troops established a temporary checkpoint near the local telecommunications center before withdrawing shortly thereafter.

A second Israeli force simultaneously advanced toward the village of Eastern Al-Samadaniyah, setting up another checkpoint between Eastern Al-Samadaniyah and Al-Ajraf.

Syrian authorities condemned the actions as violations of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement and relevant United Nations resolutions. Damascus has called on the international community to take a firm stance against what it described as repeated Israeli breaches of Syrian sovereignty.
