Syrian Interior Minister Anas Khattab held an expanded meeting in Sweida with senior security officials to assess recent developments following the appointment of a new internal security leadership team.
The session addressed key challenges facing security operations and reviewed strategies aimed at enhancing public safety, protecting citizens and property, and ensuring rapid response to emergencies.
In a post on X, Minister Khattab stated: “New appointments in Sweida were made with active participation from the province’s residents and diverse communities, as part of a comprehensive plan to restructure the security and police system in line with current needs—marking the beginning of a more stable phase for the region.
