Hasaka, SANA-Residents of Hasaka felt an earthquake early Thursday near the Syrian-Iraqi border, centered in al-Hol area of eastern Hasaka countryside.
Local sources told SANA that the tremor occurred at around 5:30 a.m. and was felt across the city and surrounding eastern villages, with no material damage or casualties reported.
According to the National Earthquake Center, the quake measured 4.2 on the Richter scale at a depth of 5 kilometers southeast of the city.
