Damascus, SANA- President of the Syrian Arab Republic, Ahmad al-Sharaa, received on Thursday Head of the Iraqi National Intelligence Service, Hamid al-Shatri, in the presence of Head of the Syrian General Intelligence Service, Hussein al-Salama.
Talks during the meeting dealt with the latest developments in the region, particularly the security situation, with both sides emphasizing importance of the unity and sovereignty of Syrian territory as Syria’s stability is a key factor of security in the region.
Discussions also addressed economic aspects, particularly activating trade and opening land crossings between the two countries to serve the interests of the two brotherly peoples.
